Training is important for the continuation of primary care and ensuring that we have enough clinical staff going into the future. We help with the training of a number of different clinical staff at various stages within their development.
GP Registrar
Dr Steven McQuillan and Dr Nina Burroughs are both qualified GP Trainers. They help train Doctors to become fully qualified GPs.
F2
Our F2 doctors are fully qualified hospital doctors who spend 4 months in General Practice as part of their work experience.
All our learners need to video some of their consultations as part of their in-house training. You may be asked if you would consent to this, feel free to say no, this will not affect your care in any way. The videos will be erased after the training is complete.
Medical Students
We have 3rd and 5th year medical students with us during most days of the week. You may be asked if you are happy with them sitting in on your consultation, feel free to say no, this will not affect your care in any way.
Physician Assocoiate Trainees
We have physician associate trainees come for placements of 6-7 weeks. They are supervised by our GPs and come to experience primary care and be involved in practical learning. As with medical students you will be asked if you are happy with them sitting in on your consultation, feel free to say no, this will not affect your care in any way.
